Payment of Deposit and Balance

Payment terms: A 40% deposit is required at the time of booking. Balance due 6 weeks (45 days) prior to commencement of safari.

Payment should be made by direct transfer to our bank account in Kenya as shown on our confirmation invoice or by a bankers' draft sent to us by Airmail Registered Post to our Kenya postal address.

If the deposit and the balance are all to be paid by VISA card a booking fee of 5% is applicable to the invoice total. 

Our cancellation charges are determined by the fact that once we have booked with hotels and safari camps/lodges and with local airlines, they will charge us a cancellation fee if we cancel a booking. We try to keep such charges to a minimum and they are as follows: 

1. For bookings cancelled or amended up to 31 days before commencement of the safari 25% cancellation charge.
2. Cancellation or amendment less that 31 days but more than 14 days prior to commencement of the safari 50% refund, 50% cancellation charge.
3. Cancellation or amendment less than 15 days but more than 2 days prior to commencement of the deal: 25% refund, 75% cancellation charge.
4. Cancellation or amendment less than 2 days before commencement of the deal - nil refund, 100% cancellation charge.

Will be provided as per quotation. The right is reserved to employ the service of sub-contractors if need arise. English speaking driver/guide are provided. Other language speaking driver/guides are provided on request and subject to availability.

Travel carries some measure of inherent risk including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling in underdeveloped areas where road conditions and other facilities may be poor or lacking; the forces of nature; and accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation. The company and its agents act, as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to hotel/ lodge accommodation, transport, tours etc. and shall not be liable for injury, delays, loss or damage in any manner.

The laws of the country in which the tour takes place and no other country govern the company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles. All claims are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the country in which the action arises. The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors for all or part of the services. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of comparable status and to make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary or caused as a result of adverse road or weather conditions, disruptions to airline schedules or any other valid reason. The company cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of luggage.

The airlines used to provide flights within Kenya or Tanzania are subject to international air conventions limiting its liability; the limitations of liability are contained on the reverse side of the airline ticket and form part of the Common and conditions of this package.

By booking and paying a deposit for a safari, you are deemed to have accepted the liability and insurance clauses outlined above and are also deemed to have understood and accepted all of the booking and cancellation conditions.
